Our Tropical Paradise Acai bowl starts with a base of acai, dragon fruit, mango, pineapple, and coconut milk. This combination of ingredients is a powerhouse when it comes to supporting healthy digestion. Dragon fruit is rich in prebiotics, which feeds the healthy bacteria known as probiotics in your gut. A healthy abundance of these beneficial bacteria is essential not only to optimal digestion but can even impact one’s mood or ability to lose weight.
Dragon fruit is rich in antioxidants and fiber as well, supporting regularity. Mango contains a group of digestive enzymes called amylases which assist the body in breaking down food easily. Toppings include granola, banana, strawberries, goji berries, cacao nibs, bee pollen, and agave syrup. Normally this bowl contains bee pollen. However, bee pollen may be omitted if you aren’t comfortable eating bee-based products. As a vegan, this is a no-go. Just make sure to let your server know you’re on a vegan diet if you order this bowl. They’re happy to help you craft the perfect bowl.
Additionally, cacao is packed with flavonoids, iron, protein, magnesium, potassium, and fiber. All essential health-boosting nutrients are very important to include in a vegan diet. Furthermore, the flavanols in cacao support improved blood flow to brain tissue, improving brain function. Furthermore, cacao has 40 times as many antioxidants as blueberries and has higher levels of calcium than cow’s milk as well. Take that lactose!
